About Me - James, Founder of Shiptalk

With over 14 years of experience in the yachting industry, I’ve had the privilege of working across various roles, eventually achieving my Master 3000gt and OOW Unlimited qualifications. Along the way, I also earned an HNC in Nautical Sciences, which has provided a strong foundation for my career.

My journey into creating Shiptalk began when I started helping deckhands prepare for their OOW oral exams. What started as a small effort to assist crew members turned into a passion for helping others succeed in the industry. Realizing the positive impact of this work, Shiptalk was born.
